Thank you for choosing our office!

We provide many amenities and services that you may not have been offered before in a dental setting.  If your back or neck aches while sitting in a chair we have pillows for support.  If you’re cold we have blankets and offer complimentary warm paraffin hand wax treatments during our appointment.  We also offer complimentary juice, coffee and tea and light snacks before or after your appointment.

Before we begin your comprehensive dental exam we will need to gather some information.  Our certified dental assistant (CDA) will meet with you to review your health and dental history and to find out if you have any specific concerns.

Next, we will take any necessary digital x-rays and intra-oral photographs; if you’re transferring from another dental office we may be able to request some of these x-rays from them depending on how old they are and their diagnostic quality.

Included in your dental exam are oral cancer and periodontal (gum) screenings and assessment of your existing restorations (fillings, crowns, implants, root canals, bridges, etc.), review and evaluation of your x-rays, diagnosis & treatment planning.

If you’ve been in for routine dental cleanings on a regular basis in the past chances are we will be doing this for you when you come in for your 1st check-up with us.  However, if it’s been awhile we may need you to return for a periodontal cleaning – we’ll know more after your exam.

Because of the information we gather at your first check up visit to our office, adults (18 + ) should plan to spend approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours with us; subsequent check-ups for adults are typically 1 hour.  For children a new patient exam will take about an hour and subsequent check-ups ½ hour to 45 minutes.
